East Valley Ski Club

The East Valley Ski Club offers discount trips to premier snow riding destinations primarily in North America. Packages include transportation (including airfare), lodging and lift tickets. The club often schedules activities during the trips such as group dinners or NASTAR fun races that are optional. You are free to join in activities or do your own thing. EVSC is a low key organization with the purpose of providing opportunities to have fun in the snow. Families are welcome.

Sail on Norwegian Cruise Line's "Norwegian Pearl" leaving from Seattle, Washington on Sunday afternoon, June 8th. FWSA members will be sailing to the Inside Passage, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan, Victoria and return back to Seattle. This trip would be an excellent follow-up to the 2008 FWSA Convention in Bellevue, Washington. Prices vary from $996 to $1656. Contact us for details.

Athens to Rhodes - Take Ferry from Pireas to Rhodes. Dinner, sleep and have breakfast on board. Rhodes accomodations on the seaside part of town. Stay in Rhodes Four Days. Enjoy tours, see Palace of Knights, wine tasting, visit Ancient Kamiros, take small ferry to visit Lindos, enjoy"Meze" snacks, traditional Arhangellos dinner, music, and dancing.
Crete - Fly to Crete, stay four days. Dinner at Loukoulos, see Minoan Palace, wine tasting at Peza, visit Thrapsanos pottery, dance at Arolithos village, see valley of Lassithi Plateau with windmills, walk or donkey ride to Kyra. Dinner at Agios Nicolaos. See Emetian Chanea and evening optional Creten cooking lesson.
Santorini - High speed boat between islands with two days at Santorini. Tour ancient Acrotiri excavations and afternoon at Oia to see their famous sunset. Take donkey ride to old port and boat trip to volcano. Back to port, then on cable car or 487 steps. Visit Museum at Fira, donkeyride to boat, view caldera.
Mykanos - High speed boat to Island. Three days that will include walking tour to meet Peter the Pelican and see windmills, private Caique boat to Delos, a multicultural center of the ancient world; one of the greatest ancient sights. BBQ on the beach. Tour to the old lighthouse.
Athens - Fly to Athens. Two days in Athens. Time to see Acropolis, National Archeological Museum, tour Plaka. Farewell party with typical Greek dinner with Folklores show and music.

Swiss trip details

July 19-31 – Hike the Bernese Oberland, SwitzerlandLEADER: John Nichols 480 860-5758 jnichols13@cox.net Join us for a trip to the heart of the Alps, Switzerland. We will visit Zofingen, a 13th-century city in the foothills of the Alps, Bern, the charming capitol of Switzerland, Interlaken, the main village in the Bernese Oberland, Wengen, the Lauterbrunnen Valley, Murren, Kandersteg, and Luzern. Wengen and Murren are car-free towns high in the Alps. Our hikes will take us through the glories of the Swiss Alps. Imagine hiking below the face of the Eiger and the Jungfrau! We will hike some of the many trails around Murren, one of the most glorious spots in the entire world, and around the town of Kandersteg, with time for a day hike up to a spectacular, emerald green lake surrounded by cliffs, waterfalls, and glacier-clad peaks. We also will explore the narrow, stunning Gasterntal Valley. Gorgeous Luzern awaits us! Our trip will end with a catered dinner of Swiss specialties in the town of Zofingen. The trip cost covers air fare, trip insurance, Swiss rail passes, lodging (double occupancy) luggage transfers, and most meals, including daily continental breakfasts.
